ePassport chips have only 2-year warranty

Microchips used in the new ten-year electronic passports carry only a two-year warranty, it has emerged.
Four million of the £66 'ePassports' have already been issued by the Home Office's identity and passport service.
Each holder's photo and biographical details are stored on a chip which can be read electronically.
