Police help car thief
A car thief who ran out of petrol in rush hour traffic was arrested after police helped him push the stolen vehicle to the side of the road.
Helpful officers in Moscow, Russia, were about to leave the scene and let Alexei Ashurin wait for breakdown services when they noticed the Volkswagen's lock was broken and a screwdriver was sticking out of the ignition.
Russians have sex while driving
Russians are Europe's worst drivers with 25% admitting to having had sex behind the wheel, according to a new survey.
... and that reminds me of the old joke:
a bus breaks down and the driver crawls underneath to see what is wrong, while he is there the conductress (being a helpful soul) asks ' do you want a screwdriver?' and the driver replies
'not now - wait until I've fixed this bloody bus'
(a blue joke :-)
... and if this isn't a joke ....
'Goat-free roads made me speed'
A Swiss man caught speeding on a Canadian highway has blamed his actions on the absence of goats on the roads.
The man was caught driving at 161 km/h (100mph) in a 100 km/h (60mph) zone.
A traffic officer's notes said the Swiss driver had said he was taking advantage "of the ability to go faster without risking hitting a goat".
