Saturday night at the movies - Hair - Aquarius

This is the terrific opening dance routine from the movie 'Hair' and Melba Moore the singer has such an incredible voice. If you have not seen the movie yet I highly recommend it - a lot of humour but with a serious anti-war message and such amazing music and dance routines.

.... and the moving final sequence to the film. (This may spoil the ending of the film for you)

Was listening to desert island discs this morning, and the guest, Nicholas Parsons, chose 'the age of aquarius' as one of his songs...not what I would have expected of him really, but there you go

It is surprising what some guests select for that programme. But I agree, not what you would expect from old Nickle Ass. (you're probably too young to know which show that came from)

um, Benny Hill?

BENNY HILL!? please blue' credit me with some taste - no, the show in question was the Arthur Haynes Show. One of the funniest programs on TV during the 60's - pity they don't repeat it, much better than Benny Hill and his ilk. Up there with Tommy Cooper.

oops sorry! I've obviously hit a nerve. Arthur was well before my time. I thought there might be clip on youtube - but nothing (only a clip of the Stones singing on his show).

OK, blue' you're forgiven - I tried YouTube also and found the same clip as you. I have also been searching for more audio/video clips but to no avail )c:
