Saturday night at the movies - Marilyn Monroe - Diamonds are a girl's best friends

What more can I say - it's the wonderful Marilyn Monroe performing one of her most famous songs and didn't she have a great voice, mmmmm!

Some of you may remember Madonna doing a take-off of this scene for her 'Material Girl' video, sadly it just wasn't in the same class as the original.

Saturday night at the movies - Singing In The Rain - All I do is dream of You.

Another great song and dance routine but this time from a much older musical - 'Singing in the Rain' made in 1952 and would you believe I had never seen the film before tonight! Oh yes, I have seen the famous dance sequence numerous times but never the full film and I must say I really enjoyed it. The songs may not be as powerful as some in Hair but they are still enjoyable, nonetheless, and although the humour is of a more innocent age it is still a very funny and entertaining film.

Saturday night at the movies - Hair - Aquarius

This is the terrific opening dance routine from the movie 'Hair' and Melba Moore the singer has such an incredible voice. If you have not seen the movie yet I highly recommend it - a lot of humour but with a serious anti-war message and such amazing music and dance routines.

.... and the moving final sequence to the film. (This may spoil the ending of the film for you)

Send in the clowns

I have been searching for ages to find a copy of 'Send in the Clowns by Glynis Johns' and I have finally found a copy on litwit's blog with a link to the mp3 (for which I shall be eternally grateful). Thank you, thank you , thank you.
